The Election: For African Americans It Is All About Race

In my earlier posting, I described the interview I saw of an African-American man who was voting for Obama.  The man being interviewed was voting for the first time because of Obama.  Of course, he isn’t racist.

Now, Colin Powell has come out to support Obama.  Powell says it has nothing to do with race.  Powell says it is about Supreme Court nominees.  Nope, it isn’t…check this link: http://firstread.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2008/09/15/1403219.aspx  It quotes Colin Powell saying how much he’d like to see an African-American president.

So, vote for John McCain for the reasons I am: the ecomony, security, armed forces, experience, vice-president, conservitive view.

And remember, if someone accuses you of being racist for voting for McCain, say “Yes, I am, just like Colin Powell!”

Can I be a racist, too?

A couple of months ago I watched as an older “man of color” was being interviewed.  He said this was the first election he was going to vote in.  Why?  Barack Obama.  Okay, a black man voting for the first time because a black man is nominated.  Did they call it racism?  No, they claimed it was the excitement that Obama was bringing to the process.

A white girl in Florida wears a McCain shirt to school and is accused of racism.

Does she want McCain because he is a better candidate?  Doesn’t matter.
Does she want McCain because he would be the better leader in a world where people want to destroy us?  Doesn’t matter.
Does she want McCain because he tried to stop Fanny Mae and Freddie Mac two years ago, while Obama helped to block all attempts to rein them in?  Doesn’t matter.

She’s white, McCain’s white – racism.

I liked Hillary.  I think she’s closer to McCain than Obama.

Doesn’t matter.  I’m white.

Okay, I’m a racist.  What’s your next move?

Oh, and I don’t want to spread the wealth.  Why are Obama’s minions attacking “Joe the Plumber” instead of dealing with his question.  I guess if you have a lousy message, you attack anyone who questions it.

Obama’s Logic (or lack of) …and a thank you to Hillary

Obama has come out and said the rest of the world doesn’t appreciate the US consuming so much.  Gee, Obie, does the rest of the world appreciate us will  supplying it with 90% of the new drugs for treating diseases?  Does the rest of the world appreciate us for technology?

Yes, Obama (and his mindless minions) we do consume the most (and I’d like to have a president that understands why)  WE PRODUCE THE MOST.  We do more for planet Earth than the rest of the Earth combined.

Here is Obama logic in action – I can prove that you are not where you are right now.  Yes, I can.

Question one: Are you on the planet Frigus? (Olbermann’s apparent home planet).

Question two: If you are not on the planet Frigus, then you agree you must be somewhere else, right?

Then you can’t be where you are right now because you just agreed you are somewhere else.  Hey, that’s Obama logic.

“America, enjoy where you are right now because my presidency will keep you there! (Or perhaps take you back in time to live like the muslims do!)”  Obama.

What set me off?  A Obam-idiot was doing the “gas is cheap compared to a latte routine.”

To everyone pushing that logic, here’s the simple answer.  I may spend $4 for a latte once a day.  I do not have to buy it 20 gallons at a time (spending $4 versus $80 at one time makes a big difference).  And, in case you haven’t figured this out – I DO NOT HAVE TO BUY A LATTE!

Thanks, Hill!  On the Bill O. interview you talked about suing OPEC over prices.  I see we are now doing just that.  Thanks for accomplishing something presidental for ALL Americans, but unfortunately our party is going to vote on color not character.  I don’t think you’ll get the nomination so I’m voting McCain.

BTW, every one is mentioning your Kennedy statement (which was nothing more than a statement establishing a timeline), but they seem to miss this one.  Guess we know what is important to the new.

Why this democrat is voting for the best democrat running – McCain

Obama is a racist.
I cannot in good conscience vote for Obama.  I believe he is a racist.  A racist at the level of hooded members of the KKK.  Obama is a black Wallace.  Listen to the terms he uses: “small town” this is a code word for white.  “Typical white person” – isn’t it stereotyping to say “typical black person?”  And true to racist form, Obama sees any question about him as a racist attack.  What’s even worse is he doesn’t even realize how racist his remarks are.  Sure, if they were made by a white person, he’d be all over them.  Remember, any one can be racist.

Socialized medicine.  This is a good way to kill off senior citizens.
No, really.  True story.  I have a friend with friends from England (land of socialized medicine).  The people from England pay for health insurance in the United States.  Why?  Because in England, with their wonderful socialize medicine, the wife is on a waiting list for hip-replacement surgery.  By her own admission, she would probably die waiting for the surgery.  Under the evil American plan, she is getting her surgery, and will significantly improve her life expectancy as well as her quality of life.  However, if the democrats are pushing for socialized medicine as a way to save money in social security – maybe this is a good idea.

But, what would our tag line be - Democrats: saving Social Security by killing those who need it.

Be nice to terrorists – and they’ll be nice back!
Sorry, but to face down our new enemy we’ve got to show no weakness at all.  Why is it that our democratic leaders can’t see that, or do we just hate “W” more?  Here even McCain doesn’t have much on us.  He said he won’t use waterboarding to get information to save American lives.  Hell, if I had a terrorist who knew about a nuke in NYC.  He’d go feet first into a wood chipper.  (I know, not original, the terrorists already use this technique.)

Oil
Any presidental candidate who doesn’t support INCREASED DOMESTIC PRODUCTION is a panderer – including McCain.  I keep hearing how scarifices must be made.  Well, how ’bout some environmental scarificies?  Just for the short-run, while we’re waiting for solar power, wind power and flying cars.

Here’s what I want in a candidate: JFK.  Stand up to any aggressor.  Cut taxes to increase investment in America.  AND NOT PANDER TO THE LATEST SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP.

Why Democrats are officially losers.

I watched Hillary Clinton on Bill O’Reilley.  I was impressed with her more than I have been in the past.  However, she convinced me that Democrats are offically losers.  When asked about energy prices, especially oil, Hillary’s response was: I’ll sue ‘em.

Is this the mantra of the democrats?

When things don’t go our way we sue?

I hate to tell Hillary, but this works where people have to follow a rule of law, and the people involved in the decision will follow the rule of law.  Hillary said she’d take our case to the WTO and sue them.  Gee, Hill, who do you think other members of the WTO are going to side with?  Do you think they’ll say go USA, or do you think they’ll say, sorry USA, but you don’t really have a case. I believe the latter, because when you get down to it, they are going to protect their country’s interests first, and that means doing nothing to upset the flow of oil to them.  Even if the case is valid, it will be rejected, or delayed or some other tactic will be used to prevent a decision that could put other members at risk for “oil wrath.”  In the short run, energy prices will continue to increase…in the long run “we are all dead.”

Who is Hillary afraid of?  Environmentalists.  She would rather see the people in the country suffer under crushing energy prices than upset a few (and I mean a few) environmentalists.  This is a prime example of the “pandering” the Republicans are constantly charging us with (and here they are right on the money).  Rather than stand-up and say: Hey, we’re going to take a short-run hit on some overly restrictive enviromental policies, but we’re going to beef up domestic production.  We are going exploit what’s under North Dakota.  We are going to begin limited access to ANWR.  And we’re going to open drilling in the Gulf (by the way, China is contracting with Cuba to do this).

What effect would this have?

1)  It would scare OPEC more than any lawsuit.

2) It would send a message that Hillary is willing to put the country’s needs ahead of the special interests.

3) It would create jobs!  Good/high paying jobs.

The funny thing is – We may not even have to tap a single well – just the threat would be enough to worry OPEC.  But then again, what do I know.  I’m just another meaningless blogger
